One Killed, Four Hurt in Head-On Crash on FM 121 Between Gunter and Tioga

What Happened on FM 121?

At about 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, a Dodge Ram pickup traveling east on FM 121 near Calk Road, between the communities of Gunter and Tioga in Grayson County, crossed into the westbound lane and struck a Ford F-350, according to Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, as reported by KXII and KTEN.

One passenger riding in the Ram was pronounced dead at the scene. The Ram’s driver and a second passenger were airlifted to a Dallas-area hospital. The F-350’s driver — its only occupant — was taken by ambulance with serious injuries. FM 121 was closed for more than three hours before reopening. DPS has not released names and continues to investigate why the Ram crossed the center line.
